Life has eaten me in a way which means I don't always read lj. I almost always skim it but often no more so please do not treat it as a reliable form of communication, email and then facebook/lj messages etc are better.

ION: Life has eaten me and this is fun. Plus uni is going well and I got the project I wanted. Yay! Cosmology stats!

What cosmology stats are you working on on, and who with????

Dr Nickl of the Stats lab in Cambridge on Statistical tests for the uniformity of data on spheres designed to try and identify cluster shocks or similar. I don't really have *any* details yet but it is somewhat openended I think. Should be fun :)

I don't really know details yet but it seems to be doing the stats that is then used to analyze astronomical data. I might even get to do that assuming I get access to suitable data, we shall see. So, possibly a slight exaggeration but I'm excited :p
