Exam, Ball, Cinema
Jun. 27th, 2005 03:07 pmSo, my Exam's now a week away, it should be okay, but there is still quite a lot of revision that it would be good to do. On the up-side I've got some nice things for afterwards, including:
(1) I'm going to the Christ's Quincentery ball, (May-ball like but in july to celebrate 400 years of Christ's College) with a friend, it should be cool as this is the first ball I've been too. Also a good excuse to buy new shoes (need a pair of nice shoes that won't give you blisters when dancing) - I do have a dress that would pass as a ball gown but will probably wonder round charity shops just in case I find something wonderful.
(2) The Cambridge film festival includes a Studio Ghibli season and in particular a showing of the animated Howl's Moving Castle, by my favourite author (Diana Wynne Jones) who is also introducing it. There's quite a few other's I might go and see.
(3) Book signing by said Diana Wynne Jones - and I might be able to get some of my existing books signed!
(4) I might be starting Beginner Salsa classes with CDC - mainly I fancy doing something CDCish, salsa sounds cool and is the only beginner class not on a tuesday evening.
(5) The Summer Round- much dancing on Jesus Green which should be cool.
(6) Going down to Dorset to visit family in August
(7) Taking my Grandmother out in London
On the down-side I do actually have a *lot* of work to do over the summer and the Lake-district holiday is looking dangerously short of people in general and drivers in particular.
Good, now I am looking forward to the summer a bit it should be easier to get my head down to revision..
