Aug. 14th, 2006 06:19 pmHmm, not feeling too well so obviously the right thing to do it sit and spod...
Okay, working backwards today I went back to the dietician and we agreed that the physco diet of hell mark II (exclusion diet) didn't work but the physco diet of hell mark I (low fibre diet) might have had more affect then we originally thought so I should go back to it for a while with a slight alteration and hence have another appointment in 3 weeks once I've done that. The diets would be a lot less physco if I didn't have so many food intolerances already. I'm feeling like I see rather too much of hospitals atm, I've got 2 more appointments between now and that one...
In other news I have signed house contract. It's not ideal (somewhat smaller than I would prefer) but is fairly cheap and has everything I need in it. I'm very glad to be sorted. I've arranged for an overlap of the two rooms from the 1st - 6th September. I may be begging for car help moving at some point.
Also, I was away in the lake district last week with family. It was good, much of the talking that needed doing was done, and I got through a lot of work (planning all but one of my catam projects for next year).
We travelled up on Sunday at which point I was quite flopped so opted for a quiet evening working and an early night. Monday morning I continued to work, and then went blackberrying in the afternoon - lots of people had been very sceptical that we'd get any but it was a rather amazing crop. We then went for a swim out to the rafts at green hill (beach at Weymouth) it was good to swim again, though it reitered the fact that I was (a) out of practice and (b) having a bit of a bad patch and so shouldn't risk it if I got any worse. For supper I had venison for the first time ever. I rather liked it.
On Tuesday me and my mum went to visit some friends for a quick cup of tea which turned into catching up for over 2 hours. Then after a quiet afternoon working well various stuff was discussed everyone (grandparents, me, my mum, aunt and her 2 children) went down to the sea again for a swim. I was feeling distinctly squicky so went of for some quiet time on my own and didn't swim as I didn't feel it was safe. I then transpired that my cousin hadn't brought a change of clothes so the pub plan was substituted by heading home and getting fish and chips for those as want/could.
Wednesday morning was visiting Dorchester Market, which is a fabulous place full of wonderful food and lots of random clothes/stuff stalls. I also wondered into town and amoung other things got the most fabulous corset style top for the Goth Eucharist and The Calling. In the afternoon I had a rest and did some work. In the evening me and my grandad got dropped in a field up near white nothe while some others went swimming, he sat in the car and read while I walked along the cliffs to White Nothe. It was lovely and refreshing, the sea breeze and not a soul in sight. For supper we had the most wonderful Sea Troat.
On Thursday I was in a lot of pain in the morning and early afternoon so just curled up in bed for most of it. After improving somewhat and taking some strong pain killers me and my aunt went for a walk with the dog she was currently looking after to Durdle Door and along the cliffs for a little. I will never tire of that place, it's so amazing and feels a bit like coming home for me. It was really good to have a chance to talk to my Aunt in private, we have a lot in common and it does help to talk about it.
On Friday we headed home via Oxford. I went the covered market with plans to go to a couple of other places before we had to leave - no chance, that it a wonderful place with so many interesting shops. I only had about 1/2 an hour to spare went I'd finished and got side tracked into trying to find a black mini-skirt to go with the goth top so didn't do anything but shop. Ah well, it was fun, I got various things I really liked and nothing that I hadn't been actively wanting before this.
Right, I should go and think about food and celebrate the fact that I am now allowed alcohol again. If I start feeling a bit better I might even make it to post-pizza...
