Life, happiness and getting stuff doneTM
Jan. 21st, 2010 05:32 pmSo, I seem to have managed a rather dramatic turnaround in both my physical health and my life. Things are good. Recent issues are being dealt with. My supervisor is wonderful and I am arranging to put the project part of the MPhil off until after the exams (I may do some work before the but it is optional). This means that I have a sensible workload, I'm feeling relaxed and in control and for the first time ever there is nothing majorly wrong in my life.
Dammit, I'm happy. I feel like I'm alive, properly in a way that hasn't been the case before. I have a pain op tomorrow which should also improve matters significantly. Things are just working.
I want to remember this (and hopefully stay with it) so I'm going to write out what I've been up to in the last two days. This level of activity is not maintainable but it's fun and I want a record of it.
Yesterday I attended 4.5 hours of lectures; spent a further half hour in meetings; organised numerous stuff; gone to two social events; cooked and eaten yummy grub; planned to take over the world (or possibly just improve it); started putting said plans into action; spent £14.35 on a very good cause; had much fun giggling with someone who's brain is amusingly similar to mine, oh and watched an episode of west wing. Also got angry at DLink fail.
Today I have seen doctor and arranged for medical notes to support delaying project; got useful shopping done; picked up prescriptions; found a masculine suit that fits and not for too much money (very happy with this); had meeting with tutor and successfully wrangled such; accepted and unpacked Sainsburys order; wrangled new cleaner (ah, the sounds of a bathroom being made clean without me having to do anything; shouted at virgin, phoned sky, phoned virgin, got very annoyed at fail.
I am going to also do today: show decorator the spare room for quote; probably shout at virgin more unless pleasantly surprised, probably cancel order with virgin if not sorted; work out and sort what I need to take for op tomorrow and hopefully go out to social.
Less happy then when I started this post given virgin fail :(
But still, things are good.
I am likely to be posting some stuff about trans issues. I am wanting to compile links and the like on trans issues. I will say more later but if you have any links or similar that you think should be included in a trans website that would be great. Particularly stuff wrt being outside the gender binary.
ETA: Oh, and today, been into lush for the first time. I sense this could become addictive.
